M1 Chat Functions (Channels, Private Messages and Profiles)

- Channels

You are automatically added to certain channels when you log in. The Announcements channel and a custom departmental channel.

-The Announcements channel is a read only channel that displays important company-wide messages.

- Your departmental group channel is a chat room with only the members of your department. You can openly chat, send links and attach files in here.

- Direct Messages to Other Users

You have the ability to directly message anyone in the Home office privately.

To find a user to message, use the search bar on the side menu.

You can search for a person using their first or last name. Click on their name from the search results, and the conversation will open in the main window.

- Profile

You can change your online status, user icon, sounds, and more by accessing your user profile menu.

Click the arrow to the right of your name to access this menu.

You can then Click on My Account to access more personalization options.
